What to Expect

Thank you for choosing Oates Veterinary Clinic We welcome you to our veterinary family.

What to Expect at our clinic

First of all, thank you for choosing Oates Veterinary Clinic We welcome you to our veterinary family. We wish to make your visits here as comfortable and pleasant as possible. This includes avoiding excessive wait times by appropriate scheduling. Please let us know ahead of time what your concerns are so that we can schedule enough time for the doctors to examine your pet.

Occasionally we will need to keep your pet for bloodwork, radiographs, or other additional diagnostics. Sometimes these procedures can take a significant amount of time to complete. To keep you from having to wait in the lobby, we may ask that you leave your pet with us for an hour or two and come back later to discuss the results. We have many restaurants and stores within a half-mile of the hospital, and many clients enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee or running some errands during this short wait.

We welcome many new clients and patients every day and want to make sure we have enough time for their first visit. Please arrive 10 – 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow you time to fill out our hospital paperwork. Additionally, for all second opinion cases or older animals with a significant medical history, we ask that all previous veterinary hospital medical information be faxed or dropped off at the clinic at least two days prior to your appointment. The doctors need to have adequate time to thoroughly review your pet’s medical history prior to your appointment.

Thank you again for choosing us, and we look forward to meeting you! We are always striving to improve your experience here and may even ask how you found out about us (website, Facebook, referral, etc.). If a friend refers you to our hospital, then please let us know. We really want to thank them!
